Edify EdTech Exhibition 2025: Igniting Innovation and Values in Ugandan Schools

Edify Uganda is proud to announce the Edify EdTech Exhibition 2025, a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower learners and educators to transform learning through purposeful technology use—rooted in Christian values.

Running under the theme “Creating Impact through Technology and Christian Values,” the exhibition is a celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration across Uganda’s primary and secondary school communities. It will provide a national platform for students to showcase digital innovations nurtured through school-based EdTech Clubs.

Since 2019, Edify Uganda has supported a growing network of partner schools with affordable loans for educational technology, leadership training, and capacity building for digital teaching. The upcoming exhibition marks a new milestone—enabling learners to demonstrate how they’re applying these tools to address real-world challenges, express faith, and share impactful stories through digital means.

What Makes the Exhibition Unique?

The Edify EdTech Exhibition 2025 is more than just a showcase—it’s a structured learning journey for schools. Through a combination of mentorship, collaborative learning, and competition, the exhibition will nurture digital fluency and project-based learning aligned with Uganda’s national curriculum and the new competency-based education model.

Learners will participate in four core project categories:

  • Creative Graphics and Videos
  • STEM and Robotics
  • Coding and App Development
  • Website Creation and Digital Publishing

Each category encourages practical engagement with tools like Scratch, MIT App Inventor, Canva, Arduino kits, WordPress, and more—enabling learners to build, test, and present solutions to everyday problems affecting their communities

The Role of the Edify Resource Portal

Central to the success of this initiative is the newly developed Edify EdTech Resource Portal—a digital hub that will serve as:

  • ✅ A central point for project submissions from EdTech Club patrons and mentors
  • ✅ A repository of resources, including training slides, templates, evaluation rubrics, and showcase samples
  • ✅ A communication channel for updates, timelines, and mentorship support
  • ✅ A learning gallery where selected projects will be featured as case studies for peer learning and replication

The portal ensures transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in managing the exhibition process—from registration to recognition.

Orientation Workshops

To kick-start the exhibition process, Edify Uganda, in collaboration with its implementing partners like Sharebility Uganda, is conducting a series of orientation workshops in June 2025. These sessions are designed to equip school leaders and EdTech patrons with the knowledge and tools needed to facilitate EdTech Clubs and guide learners in creating meaningful digital projects.

Looking Ahead

The exhibition will progress through a structured roadmap that includes mentorship visits, project submissions via the portal, expert vetting, regional showcases, and a final national exhibition in July 2025.

As we roll out this exciting initiative, we invite schools, educators, partners, and well-wishers to join us in this journey of equipping learners with skills, purpose, and a platform to shine. Together, let’s raise a generation of digital innovators grounded in faith.
