In collaboration with Sharebility Uganda, this initiative is part of a larger mission to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate technology into their teaching, learning, and school administration processes.

The schools participating in today’s training have warmly welcomed Sharebility facilitators, who are on-site to provide full-time support, guidance, and resources to help educators embrace the possibilities of modern technology in the classroom. This effort is a continuation of Edify Uganda’s mission to enhance the quality of Christ-centered education by enabling schools to thrive in the digital age.

A Spirit of ‘#Have2Give’: Schools United by a Common Purpose

As the training begins, the spirit of “#Have2Give” is at the heart of this initiative, emphasizing the collective responsibility of sharing knowledge, resources, and skills to uplift the entire educational community. The participating schools, including Gayaza Road Triangle Secondary School, have opened their doors to receive cutting-edge training designed to empower teachers to harness the full potential of ICTs.

The facilitators from Sharebility Uganda are experts in education technology and are dedicated to providing tailored training that meets the unique needs of each school. By building the capacity of educators, Edify Uganda ensures that students across the country benefit from engaging and technology-enhanced learning experiences.

The Importance of ICT in Modern Education

As the digital era continues to transform the world, education is no exception. Schools are increasingly turning to technology not only to improve the learning experience but also to streamline administrative tasks and enhance communication between students, teachers, and parents. The EdifyEdTech Program is designed to meet these evolving needs by equipping teachers with the skills to integrate digital tools into their everyday work.

The facilitators at Gayaza Road Triangle Secondary School, as well as the other venues, are providing training on a wide range of ICT tools. From using digital lesson plans and online collaboration platforms to incorporating tablets and computers in the classroom, teachers are being shown practical ways to enrich their students’ educational journeys. These tools not only make lessons more interactive but also help personalize learning, ensuring that each student can progress at their own pace.

Empowering Educators for a Sustainable Future

One of the key focuses of the EdifyEdTech training is the long-term impact of technology on education. By empowering educators with digital skills today, Edify Uganda is ensuring that schools remain relevant and sustainable in the future. The role of teachers is evolving, and the ability to adapt to technological advancements is crucial for ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the modern world.

Through ongoing support, Edify Uganda and Sharebility Uganda provide educators with more than just a one-time training. They are committed to offering continuous resources and mentorship, helping teachers stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in education.

A Holistic Approach to School Management

In addition to enhancing teaching practices, the training also focuses on improving school administration. The facilitators are guiding school leaders on how to use technology for more efficient record-keeping, student tracking, and communication within the school community. By digitizing these processes, schools can run more smoothly and focus on delivering quality education.

Looking Ahead

With today’s training at Gayaza Road Triangle SS and the two other venues, Edify Uganda continues to build a solid foundation for the future of Christ-centered education in Uganda. Schools across the country are realizing the potential of technology to transform both teaching and learning, and Edify’s commitment to supporting educators in this transition is vital for long-term success.

As the #EdifyEdTech Program moves forward, the message is clear: technology, when used effectively, has the power to elevate education, making it more engaging, accessible, and sustainable. By fostering a culture of sharing and continuous improvement, Edify Uganda and its partners ensure that teachers and students alike have the resources they need to thrive in the 21st-century classroom.
